Cohousing Multifamily
Through my process to develop this Cohousing community, I researched the Heights Community Codes and HOA regulations. With the help of students in my class I was able to learn more about the Heights community and the demographics of that particular area. Some students and I researched Biophilic design and Sustainability, which I decided to pursue in my individual design. I built the entirety of this project using AutoCAD and then built it all using Sketchup. Below You will see images from early concept to Final 3D renderings done on Enscape.
Biophilic Elements.
The Visual Connection with Nature is a core part of my design. Nature is a great bridge that brings people together. Our residents can create connections while caring for our environment. In order to make sure my design incorporated that the following was done.
Minimal Changes to the existing trees
Incorporated a adjacent park entrance
Used neutral tones throughout the spaces
Ensured there was plenty of outdoor amenities
Sustainability Elements.
Retrofitted the existing house
Rain water Harvesting
Solar Energy
Energy Efficient Appliances
Sustainably sourced materials for construction and finishes
